This is a fully remote position working for a virtual accounting firm. I'm looking for a senior accountant with supervisory experience to work up to 40 hours a week. This has potential to grow into a supervisory position. Looking for a long term relationship. We are growing! This position will focus on closing out client books using QBO, documenting monthly close&nbsp; processes for clients and training team members on how to follow these processes. Other&nbsp; duties include reviewing team members' monthly close work, interacting with clients by&nbsp; phone, email, and video calls, and problem-solving accounting and QuickBooks issues in a&nbsp; timely manner as they arise. Opportunity to move into a supervisory role.&nbsp; Responsibilities:<ul><li> Establish Monthly close processes&nbsp;</li><li>Review the Client's books and document the close process&nbsp;</li><li>Documentation by preparing written documents and videos using&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>GAAP accounting best practices and online tools efficiency&nbsp;</li><li>Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger&nbsp; maintenance.&nbsp;</li><li>Communicate in Slack, by phone, or by video meeting on client open items to&nbsp; resolve issues.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to resolve complex accounting and QuickBooks issues in a timely manner. </li><li>Communicate with the clients' CPAs on tax issues that come up during the year.&nbsp;</li><li>team members on GAAP accounting best practices and QuickBooks&nbsp;</li><li>issues when they arise.&nbsp;</li><li>Schedule and train new team members regarding company processes and&nbsp; procedures including being a resource to assist new team members in&nbsp; delivering accurate deliverables toclients.&nbsp;</li><li>Meet with team members daily and/or weekly to ensure client's monthly close meets&nbsp; deadlines&nbsp;</li><li>Analyze and review financials in a monthly video meeting with clients.&nbsp;</li><li>Answer emails and phone calls from clients who have questions about their&nbsp; accounting and/or reports.&nbsp;</li><li>Check email and Slack regularly and fill requests for reports or information during the&nbsp; day as needed. Respond timely to urgent requests.</li><li>Be proactive in offering our tech stack of apps that can help with the back-office&nbsp; efficiency of our clients and recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue.&nbsp;</li><li>Meet with the manager on a weekly basis by video call. Report deliverables status on&nbsp; client deadlines, work tasks, and scope creep issues.&nbsp;</li><li>Prepare sales tax returns and submit them online for clients with their approval. </li></ul>Must have :<ul><li>5 years QBO experience</li><li>Accounting degree or equivalent</li><li>2 years supervisory experience</li></ul>Nice to have :<ul><li>CPA license</li><li>CPA firm experience</li></ul>This position requires a high level of accounting knowledge, able to work independently and problem solve. Reviewing other team members work and working with the team to complete clients monthly close in QBO. This position reports to the accounting manager. As this is a remote position you must have your own computer and printer as well as Internet.
